“What if my older child doesn’t cooperate during the newborn shoot?”

It’s one of the most common questions I’m asked - and I get it! Toddlers and young children are unpredictable at the best of times, let alone when they’ve just had their whole world changed by the arrival of a new baby.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it - it can happen. But as a Mum of two boys (now 10 and 6) and a photographer who’s worked with hundreds of families, let me reassure you: I’ve seen it ALL.

I’m incredibly laid back and armed with endless patience (for your kids, anyway - my own are a different story!). If I sense a child isn’t feeling it, I take the pressure off straight away. And we always keep it fun, light, and playful.

Sometimes those gorgeous sibling shots you see? They’re secretly on a mission to find a hidden chocolate button in the baby’s blanket. Or they’re sniffing the baby because I’ve asked them what they smell like (spoiler: the answers are hilarious).

In nine years, I can count on one hand the number of times I haven’t managed to capture at least one beautiful moment between siblings. So please don’t stress.

You’ve got enough to think about - leave this part to me.
